i haven't had the time or the desire to write lately...

i am not sure if that is a good or bad thing, but i am enjoying the business and everything that spring brings...

fortune cookies

 i know it seems like my life revolve around the weather, but doesn't all of life?...deep thoughts aside, its been warmer, rainy, and still cookie baking weather...

but, unfortunately for my cookie cravings, i have been making these leather fortune cookies...

hilariously enough, i actually burned a couple when i put them in the oven to dry with the intention of only leaving it on for a couple of minuets...
oh well.  blame it on the rain. (woaaah, totally dating myself.)

home again

and this is how i feel...

after eating record amounts of candy and taking detours from the long road trip to go to many restaurants between Flagstaff and Central Texas, particularly at our old favorite restaurant in El Paso....

but, better than all the food was spending lots of good times catching up and drinking booze with friends and spending time with family...

like my cousin-in-law hiding behind me in this photo during a tour of their famous show pig farm--i handled that baby pig like a pro! 
thankful for 2012 and psyched for whats to come in 2013
